The academic painting is a piece of artwork available in New Horizons. It can be bought from Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler and donated to the museum. As it is sold by Redd, the player should keep in mind that they may be purchasing a forgery. The academic painting is based on the Vitruvian Man, made by Leonardo da Vinci in about 1490. It is accompanied by notes based on the work of the Roman architect Vitruvius. Despite being referred to as a painting in the game, it is not actually a painting, rather it is actually a drawing.
