This article is about a species. For the smug chicken whose Italian name is "Aligalli", see Ken.

Alligators (ワニ Wani?), also known as crocodiles, are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They have large jaws and two sharp lower teeth which protrude out of their mouths, but unlike their real-life counterparts, they have large heads. Alfonso had a major role in Gekijōban Dōbutsu no Mori.

There are nine alligator villagers so far, of which six are male and three are female. Two are normal, one is snooty, two are lazy, two are jock, one is cranky, and one is smug. There are currently no peppy or sisterly alligators.

Alfonso and Alli are the only alligators to appear in every game in the series.

Two of the alligators villagers are actually of a different species. Del is a robot and Drago is a dragon.
