I'll remember you even when I'm famous!
― Picture quote, Wild World

Anabelle (あるみ, Arumi?) is a peppy anteater villager in the Animal Crossing series, and was introduced in Wild World. She has the fashion hobby.

Appearance[]

Anabelle WW

Anabelle in Wild World

Anabelle's body shape follows that of the rest of the anteater villagers, but she is made to look like a pangolin, an animal unrelated to the anteater, but both are insectivores. She is orange and yellow with darker orange plates on her back, big green eyes, and her paws are purple at the ends of her limbs. Unlike other anteaters, her tail is flat rather than fluffy, and she has plates on her back, adding to her resemblance to a pangolin, just like Lulu. She initially wears the tropical tee (which was renamed to the bold muumuu in New Horizons) and carries a mint umbrella on rainy days.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the peppy personality. For more information, click here.

Peppy villagers appear to be in a good mood often and are easy to become friends with. As a peppy villager, Anabelle will have the tendency to over-react in conversations about trivial subjects, and will usually be over-excited to see the player or other villagers. This villager, like other peppy villagers, will rarely be discouraged from doing anything, including the usual hobbies. Peppy villagers dream of becoming famous in the future and read Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty, normal, and other peppy villagers in the Animal Crossing series. Peppy villagers will also have a very short attention span, which means they soon forget some arguments or tasks given to the player which weren't completed. Anabelle may easily get upset in conversation when the wrong things are said. She will get along well with other villagers, particularly lazy, normal, jock, sisterly, and other peppy villagers, but she may annoy and upset cranky and snooty villagers, whose personalities differ to hers. Due to the nature of peppy villagers, she may mention how "old" or "boring" cranky villagers are compared to her opposing, upbeat personality.

House[]

In New Leaf, Anabelle's house is decorated with a lot of furniture from the cabana series, including the cabana bed, cabana screen, and the cabana vanity. There are many other furniture pieces, like a green bookcase and an exotic bench, as well as many plants. She has the lattice wall and the diner tile. There is a phonograph that plays Aloha K.K.

In New Horizons, Anabelle's house is orange with a white latticework door and an orange thatch roof. The interior has the green painted-wood wall and the yellow floral flooring. She has the light wood wooden simple bed, waste bin, table, end table, and chair. She also has an ironwood kitchenette, a deluxe washer, a portable radio, a yellow refrigerator, a yellow ironing set, and a yellow stand mixer. On the wall are a white wall fan and a white ventilation fan. When Anabelle crafts a recipe, she uses a yellow cute DIY table.

Pocket Camp[]

Anabelle was added to Pocket Camp in the January 30, 2019 update.

Anabelle's preferred theme is harmonious, and she primarily gives steel as a reward. Her profile reads:

❝ Anabelle has a tendency to say "Snorty!" in response to anything and everything. She seems to want to change this habit...but it's part of her charm, so she probably doesn't need to worry about it.❞
