Hello everyone! I'd like to apply for discussion moderator! The discussions portion of this wiki has become quite a large part of my life over the past month, and I wish for it to continue its prosperity, and I feel that becoming a discussions mod could allow me to help this community at a deeper level than before. | JowaPlays ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 16:25, June 17, 2020 (UTC)

Comment: Are you willing to put bias aside when dealing with arguments and spam? Can you take into account both sides of a story and report serious issues to an admin no matter the circumstances? Support: I can support that you will be a neutral party in the face of the wild discussions we have here. Plus you always report to me or another admin rather than stirring up the fires. Support: I'm hoping that I did this right? Anyways, I frequently see Jowa on the discussion board. From what I've seen, he has consistently contributed respectfully and positively to the community, and I think he'll be able to translate into his work if given the discussion moderator promotion. ~Marii5962 (Let's Talk!)

I want to be a discussions mod because I am on this site a lot, and I want to contribute to making it a better place!

Support: In my opinion you're probably the most deserving member of the wiki for the position at the moment. You're quite active, you often report things to to me or the admin team, and you have a good moral compass, from what I can tell. I am definitely in support (but maybe get a new pfp? Comment:Could you elaborate more on what your standards for neutrality are? I agree that I usually take a side, but never to the point where it becomes chaotic. I try to look at things from a larger point of view, and side with the group that is in the right. User:Coco62442 *(Please sign your comments with ~~~~)

Comment:So neutrality is trying to keep an impartial standpoint on topics. In the case of someone who has a different opinion it's best to refrain from commenting something that is biased towards that comment. In the case of true evil, aka someone is breaking the rules, it's best to report it to a moderator or admin to shut down the situation rather than trying to stop them yourselves.

I also don't know how, as a moderator, you would be able to deescalate a situation in which someone post something inappropriate or disturbing. ~Emilysara (Questions?) 20:24, July 9, 2020 (UTC)

Hello! My name is Kylie, but you can call me Kai. Recently I started to consider potentially becoming a discussion moderator, as I enjoy to help my community by maintaining a good morale. I joined this fandom in the beginning of May, eager to become part of the community. I started to become very active on the fandom, and have made many new friends. I am quick to correct a situation if it is out of hand, never using harsh language or threatening tones. Maintaining absolute neutrality is a core value of mine, as I aim to understand every side of an argument. Despite this, I understand when situations become out of hand, so I will do what is necessary to ensure a positive outcome. Making people laugh, spreading kindness, and teaching positivity is what I stand for. Also, I have no time-consuming commitments currently, so I can guarantee that I will be active every day. I would love to interact and get to know the users of this fandom better, while also stopping hate/negativity. Hello! I have been on the wiki for a couple months and I really love it. So I want to become a discussion moderator to help get rid of any negativity on the fandom to make it even better! I'm quite active on the fandom and I help make compromises for every argument, as well as making sure to listen to every side of it. I just want to make this fandom a place where everyone can enjoy playing ac together. So basically, I'm quite active and help stop any drama or negativity. Support: While I haven't found anything terrible about you, I haven't found anything quite notable about you. I don't think you are a beacon of positivity or neutrality, but I haven't found anything worthy of opposing this vote. I will say, if you do show signs of becoming terrible during your time being a moderator the admin staff will be knocking off that role quite quickly. I do hope that never happens. Hi, I've been on this wiki for a while, and I've loved it so far and thought i could help the staff out if I was a moderator. I would like to know if you guys think the same and could possibly hire me for mod. I've been playing Animal Crossing and games related for quite a while and (as stated in my bio) am a top contributor at the Splatoon Wiki. I am very regularly reloading this wiki seeing if anyone is posting so I can chat with people here at the wiki and hopefully make they're day a bit better!
