Alright, here we are. I said I would apply for rollback/patroller sometime in January but I never did. However, I’ve been looking into the position again and have asked Jacube, Devon, and Kalina on their advice, and have received support from each of them. I have a lot of experience with editing (including here and the Stardew Valley Wiki), and I also know which edits to revert or not. Hello! I'm Max, and I'd like to become both a Rollback and a Patroller. I asked people on this wiki, and they said that I can go ahead and start this proposal. The first Animal Crossing game I played (and only) was New Horizons, and I know a lot about it. I use sources like ACNH API and [1] for my projects. I also want to keep an eye on Recent Changes and patrol the edits for vandalism or typos and fix them. I know a lot about editing and want to improve pages! I am also active on this wiki. I feel like there are fair reasons for support and oppose. Although, I am leaning towards support because what you show is promising. This probably doesn't make any type of sense. Hello, I'm Soleil, and I would like to run for the Rollback/Patroller position. I've been contributing edits to the wiki for a little over more than a year now (I have a couple thousand edits now), and I would like to utilize the abilities of Rollback/Patroller in order to help improve the quality of the wiki.

Here are some of the various types of edits I've contributed:

Added the delete template to unused poor-quality image files and duplicate image files.
Added relevant unused image files to different pages and galleries.
Added some missing NL exterior house screenshots.
Added some missing categories to villager pages.
Added missing personality navboxes to the new villagers' pages and edited the navboxes to include them.
Categorized some of the uncategorized house images.
Re-categorized some incorrectly categorized artwork images that were in Category:Characters for a weird reason.
Converted regular hyperlinks to Wikipedia and other Fandom wikis to direct hyperlinks so they don't open a new window upon being clicked.
Converted plain/non-italicized hyperlinks to the game pages to instead use the game templates (Template:PG, Template:WW, Template:CF, etc.).
Fixed various typos and syntax errors.
Updated some species navboxes that were the incorrect season.
I tend to check Special:RecentChanges at least once every other day, and I do my best to revert vandalism.
Experience as an admin for other video game wikis, The Messenger Wiki, Shovel Knight Wiki, and Everhood Wiki. (Monitoring for vandalism, keeping content well-organized, and general game knowledge.)

I'm quite the fan when it comes to villager houses in Animal Crossing, so one of my goals is to standarize the names for house images, to use a more consistent format. (Some of the names are rather awful, like File:Screenshot 5.png). Being a rollback/patroller would help me to do that more effectively since I have to wait about 5 minutes each time I move 2 images. (Moving 1 image and failing to move 1 other image due to a name file extension contradiction warning also resets the wait period and is very counterproductive). I'm actually not sure which role level removes the throttling if any, but either way, I still feel I would benefit from the extra abilities of rollback/patroller.

I'll also continue to work on other points of maintenance, such as completing the NL house exterior image collection, monitoring for vandalism, and such. NinjaSoleil (talk) 13:06, 31 December 2021 (UTC)

People of the Animal Crossing wiki, I welcome you, for this is quite the momentous occasion. I, Jowa Plays, hereby elect both Animal Crossing wiki users SirGoose7008, otherwise known by the nickname Goose, and Punchiyui, otherwise known as Punchi on the wiki, to be judged for their worth as discussions moderators.

Firstly, Goose. A true goose among goslings, he has shown his dedication to the discussions boards by being there since its spike of popularity in 2020, and has been playing the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons every single day since he stole it from his local Gamestop. His snarky sense of humor, quick wit, and murderous tendencies have not gone unnoticed by the admins of the wiki and we believe he would prove invaluable when dealing with troublesome trolls and dirty Animal Crossing haters who dare threaten the peace of our little trash heap in the wide expanse we call the internet.

But, in addition, we have Punchi, regarding whom I sincerely believe Punchi has the great and boundless potential when it comes to being a moderator. Her tenacity and her welcoming personality makes her an excellent choice, and her drive and motivation to maintain the rules of the discussions board, in which plentiful examples can be found on the “megathread” is extremely moving, in all honesty. Her passion for the Animal Crossing series is very apparent, as she recently came out as the creator of the series, Katsuya Eguchi, as well as the artist for the very famous “Zone” video.

So I ask you, wikan. Do you want this wiki to thrive? Do you want it to stand the test of time as it maintains its status as the greatest website in history?

Support: I think this is a divine idea and will most definitely be beneficial. The promotions are well deserved, and I believe they will fit right in as moderators. With all due respect, I am neutral on this subject as I feel like we do need more discussion moderators with half of them being inactive; but I honestly don't know if they are the right... candidates? Hey! I would like to be a d mod so that I can benefit this wiki! I have been a passionate animal crossing player for many years. Oppose: Vandalism on the wiki's pages doesn't relate to being a discussion moderator. Honestly, I'm opposing this since you recently have been blocked, and you get into fights very easily with other wiki members.
