Anteaters (アリクイ Arikui?) are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They talk by moving the ends of their noses up and down, similar to such special characters as Tom Nook, Kicks, Resetti, Label, etc.

There are ten anteater villagers so far, of which seven are female and three are male. Two are peppy, three are normal, two are snooty, one is jock, one is cranky and one is smug. There are currently no lazy or sisterly anteaters.

Cyrano and Pango are the only anteaters to appear in every game to date.

One villager Anabelle is actually not an anteater but a pangolin.
