Bea (ベーグル,Bēguru?, Beagle) is a normaldogvillager from the Animal Crossing series. Her name is a pun on beagle, a dog breed, and her Japanese name is literally "Beagle" transliterated. Her catchphrase, bingo, is likely a reference to the fictional dog's name of the titular "B-I-N-G-O" children's song.
Bea returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.
Bea is a brown dog with dark ears and a muddy-looking mouth. Bea has very dark eyes, which are the same shade of her ears. She has Shy-looking eyes, reflecting her normal personality. She wears a Flicker shirt, which was changed to the Striped Maxi Dress in New Horizons. She is sometimes compared to the pug dog breed, but unlike pugs, Bea has a long nose. She also resembles Maddie.
Below is a brief description of the normal personality. For more information, click here.
Bea has a normal personality, and frequently acts kind towards the player. Normal villagers generally get along well with lazy, peppy, smug, snooty and other normal villagers. Bea may conflict with cranky and sisterly villagers. As a normal villager, Bea will usually wake up at 6:00 am and is easier to befriend than most. Both normal and peppy villagers reference an unseen friend known as Moppina.
In Animal Forest e+, Bea's house has a ceramic tile and rose wall She has some clothes in her room, such as the gelato shirt, blossom shirt, and rally shirt, as well as a ranch cupboard and bookcase, teddy bears, a green lamp side table and a green bed. She also has a CD player that plays K.K. Parade.
In New Leaf, Bea's RV contains these items: green wall, natural wood floor, bread basket, bread box, bread-making set, counter table, dessert case, menu chalkboard, shopping bag, soda case, tong-and-tray stand, and wooden counter.
In New Horizons, Bea's house is white with brown trim, a brown common door, and a brown tile roof. The interior has the blackboard wall and an iron entrance doorplate on the cork flooring. She has two dark brown lecture-hall desks, three cream diner counter tables, three soup kettles, a natural menu chalkboard, a brown rattan armchair, a silver laptop, a yellow cute music player, an infused-water dispenser, a white espresso maker, an open-frame kitchen, a blue potted monstera, and a green simple kettle. Overall, her house resembles a cafe or coffee shop.
Bea's a friendly dog, but she gets down in the dumps whenever someone mistakes her for a boy. She's tried everything from applying makeup to wearing really feminine clothing, but nothing seems to work.
