Billy (アーシンド,Āshindo?) is a jockgoatvillager in the Animal Crossing series. He originally appeared only in the Animal Crossing games, although he was discovered in the data for Happy Home Designer. His name comes from the name for male goats, billy. His catchphrase, "dagnaabit," comes from "dag nab it," an exclamation of dismay used stereotypically by older men. He might be mistaken for Gruff, whose Japanese name is Billy, while his Japanese name means "Ah, I'm tired." He has the play hobby.
Billy returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.
Billy is a brown goat with yellow horns and pink inside his ears. He has a tuft of stringy yellow hair on the top of his head. His eyes are closed fully. He has a white beard under his mouth. Despite his elderly appearance giving him the look of a cranky villager, he is a jock. His initial clothing is the Sharp Outfit, which was changed to the Hanten Jacket in New Horizons.
Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.
Billy has a jock personality and has a great interest in sports and bodybuilding. Jock villagers are hyperactive and motivated but often come across as egotistical and dense. As a jock villager, Billy is very interested in his hobby, and may compete against the player at catching bugs and fish. Jock villagers get along with peppy, cranky and sisterly villagers, but conflict with the laid-back lifestyle of lazy villagers. Snooty villagers may also be difficult to get along with for Billy.
