The birthday set is a furniture set in the Animal Crossing series.

New Leaf[]

Birthday set items can only be obtained in New Leaf on the player's birthday, where they will be given an item from the series by the villager hosting their birthday party. Which item they are given depends on their friendship level with the animal.

Most items in the set can only be obtained this way, apart from the birthday cake, which is also sent by the player's mother.

New Horizons[]

Similarly to New Leaf, these items can only be obtained on the player's birthday. The villager hosting the party gives the player one item from the set, and the rest can be obtained by talking to villagers during the party or giving a cupcake to any villager when the party is over. Cupcakes can be obtained during the birthday party. A maximum of 10 cupcakes can be obtained, but it's possible to receive fewer.

Unlike in New Leaf, the player does not receive the birthday cake from Mom. The player's mom sends Mom's homemade cake instead.

The birthday cake comes in 3 variations and the other items come in 6 variations. Each item requires 1 customization kit to customize. The set contains 4 types of items and 21 items total.
