“Yay! Thanks for coming to celebrate my birthday!”
― Boomer, during his birthday, in New Leaf
Boomer (ショーイ,Shōi?) is a lazypenguinvillager who first appears in Animal Forest+ as an islander. He was absent in Wild World, but reappears in City Folk. His name most likely comes from a character of the same name in Battlestar Galactica, who was also a pilot; more evidence towards this is how his room is space-themed in New Leaf. His initial catchphrase "human", is another reference to Battlestar Galactica, in which Boomer is a non-human character living among humans. He has the fitness hobby.
What is the significance of Boomer's catchphrase 'human' in Animal Crossing?
The catchphrase 'human' used by Boomer in Animal Crossing is an homage to Battlestar Galactica. Why was Boomer absent in Wild World but reappeared in City Folk?
Boomer, a character in the Animal Crossing series, initially debuted in Animal Forest+ as an islander. He did not feature in Wild World but made a comeback in City Folk. Personality
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Boomer will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Boomer will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.
Fruit Allergy[]
As an islander, Boomer has a favorite fruit and a fruit that he is allergic to. Feeding him the allergic fruit will reduce the likelihood of him dropping money bags. Boomer is allergic to cherries and loves pears.
House[]
In City Folk, Boomer's house has an island feel, and he uses the tropical floor and the western vista as his choice of flooring and wallpaper. He will also have Aloha K.K. playing on a stereo when he acquires one.
In New Leaf, his house has received a makeover, and now uses the sky wall paired with plank flooring in a space pilot theme. He retains Aloha K.K. as his music, and has a reel-to-reel in the corner that plays it. Inside his home are a captain's monitor; one regular, two small, and two large space consoles, and two space captain's seats.
Boomer left the big city where errands, gardening, buying, selling, writing, digging, fishing, and bug-collecting all wore him down. One day, got up and moved to the islands, where he could lie about in the sun and avoid the crowds.
Boomer is one of the few villagers who wears an accessory, as he wears an aviator hat.
Unlike Puck (another lazy penguin villager that wears headgear) Boomer doesn't remove his helmet when wearing a different hat. However he does remove his goggles.
