Words to live by: Don't ever wimp out!

― Picture quote, Wild World

Boone (まんたろう, Mantarō?) is a jock gorilla villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name could be a reference to the word and species "baboon," as well as a reference towards something many jocks say when showing off their muscles, referencing towards his personality type. He has the fitness hobby.

Boone in Wild World

Boone is a brown monkey with blue cheeks and a red face, giving him the appearance and likeness of a Mandrill which is actually a species of old world monkey native to Africa. His name and initial catchphrase are references to Baboons, another species of Old World monkey which the Mandrill is closely related to and often confused for. His hands are gray and he has a white stomach. His initial clothing is the Indian shirt, which matches his brown coloration.

Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.
Boone has a jock personality and has a great interest in sports and bodybuilding. Jock villagers are hyperactive and motivated but often come across as egotistical and dense. As a jock villager, Boone is very interested in his hobby, and may compete against the player at catching bugs and fish. Jock villagers get along with peppy, cranky and sisterly villagers, but conflict with the laid-back lifestyle of lazy villagers. Snooty villagers may also be difficult to get along with for Boone.

Boone's house consists of furniture from the Western Theme and other random pieces of furniture, such as two cacti and a trash can. He listens to K.K. Western.

  • Boone's name is another word for "dream." Another interpretation is that it is also derived from "Baboon", taking out the "ba" and adding an "e" on the end.
