“Did you hear what the shoe said to the hat? "You go on ahead. I'll follow on foot!"”

Bruce (ブルース, Burūsu?) is a cranky deer villager in the Animal Crossing series who made his debut in New Leaf. Bruce appears in the Japanese-only manga adaptation, Tobidase Dōbutsu no Mori Minna Deseseragi Mura Life. Appearance[]

Bruce in New Leaf.
Bruce is a teal deer with a light-blue stripe pattern on his forehead. The insides of his ears are orange and he has striped yellow horns that curve backwards. His eyes are half-lidded and he wears a frown by default, causing him to appear scornful. Because of his curved horns and the stripe pattern on his head, he resembles a gazelle or goat more than a deer. He wears a black after-school jacket in all games he appears in.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the cranky personality. For more information, click here. |
Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Bruce will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty, and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature.
House[]
In New Leaf, Bruce's house consists of lots of urban furniture, such as the telephone box and iron frame, similar to an alley. For wallpaper, he uses the urban wall, and for flooring, he uses the hopscotch floor. On his cassette player, Bruce has K.K. Blues playing.
In New Horizons, Bruce's house resembles an alleyway, similar to his New Leaf house. In the back of his house, he has a basketball hoop, streetlamp, electric kick scooter, phone box, and a cassette player that plays K.K. Blues. In the front of his house, he has an iron frame, mountain bike, cone, and oil barrel. He also has a cardboard sofa, a garbage can, and a manhole cover. For wallpaper, he uses the street-art wall, and for flooring, he uses the paintball flooring.
