He wears pink-rimmed sunglasses with dark lenses, so his eye color is unknown, but in Animal Crossing for the GameCube, if looked from at the right angle, the player can see that Bud has small, black eyes with very small white pupils. His skin tone is darker than that of his mane, enhancing his "surfer-dude" appearance as well as wearing the Blue Aloha Shirt in Animal Crossing and the Flowery Shirt in Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf.
Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.
Bud has a jock personality and has a great interest in sports and bodybuilding. Jock villagers are hyperactive and motivated but often come across as egotistical and dense. As a jock villager, Bud is very interested in his hobby, and may compete against the player at catching bugs and fish. Jock villagers get along with peppy, cranky and sisterly villagers, but conflict with the laid-back lifestyle of lazy villagers. Snooty villagers may also be difficult to get along with for Bud.
Bud's house in Wild World and City Folk is beach themed, with beach chairs, beach tables, a red boom box, a ukulele, and a surfboard. For wallpaper, he has the Tropical Vista, and the Tropical Ground for his carpet. When he has a stereo, it has K.K. Ska playing on it.
Bud used to live in town. He had to move, because he was so laid-back he made the other animals look like workaholics. He has a keen eye, though, and he isn't afraid to speak his mind. His main interest? Surfing!
As an islander, he has a favorite fruit and a fruit that he is allergic to in Wild World and City Folk. Feeding him the allergy fruit will reduce the likelihood of him dropping money bags. Bud loves pears, but is allergic to peaches.
