Canberra (キャンベラ,Kyanbera?) is a sisterlykoalavillager who first appeared in New Leaf. Her name derives from the Australian city and capital, Canberra. She appears on the album cover for K.K. March. She has the play hobby.
Canberra is a peachy coral-colored koala. She has white-tipped paws and the fluff inside her ears is also white. She has a large tan nose and very dark red blush on her cheeks. On the top of her head is a tuft of brown hair. She has brown eyebrows that are tilted in a way to make her look angry or fierce. Canberra initially wears the green stripe tank in New Leaf, and a green striped tank in New Horizons.

Canberra is a sisterly villager. When befriended, she will give the player fighting tips and teach them ways to relax. Canberra will also give the player medicine if they are stung by a wasp. Like all sisterly villagers, Canberra is tough, but she will still care deeply about her appearance. Canberra has a tendency to stay up very late at night. It is easy to get her picture since developing friendships with sisterly villagers is simple due to her caring and protective nature, sometimes talking to the player about her friendship with her old neighbor's son. Canberra may get along with jock villagers who share her love of sports, lazy and normal villagers for how laid-back they are, and peppy villagers. However, she may conflict with smug and snooty villagers due to their arrogant nature. Canberra may clash with cranky villagers due to their similarly stubborn personalities, but often end up becoming best friends.
House[]
In New Leaf, Canberra's house is very basic. She has a few ranch items, such as the tea table, the dresser, and the couch. On top of her ranch dresser is a cassette player that plays K.K. House. She has two plants and a cabana bed. Her wall is the citrus wall, and her floor is the neutral flooring.
In New Horizons, Canberra's house has a tropical theme. It is decorated almost exclusively with beach-themed items such as a wave breaker, orange life ring, shell-patterned beach towel, coconut juice, orange beach chair, natural sand castle, two tropical palm-tree lamps, and a shell speaker playing K.K. Island. There is also a blue lifeguard chair in the upper right corner. Canberra's wallpaper is the animated tropical vista, while her flooring is the starry-sands flooring.
