I have a feeling we could be much more than friends... We could be BEST friends!
― Curlos, New Leaf

Curlos (カルロス, Karurosu?, Carlos) is a smug sheep villager in the Animal Crossing series. He made his first appearance in Animal Forest e+ as a cranky Islander. He was absent from both Wild World and City Folk, but he returned with the smug personality in New Leaf. His name comes from the word "curl", referencing his wool, and the name "Carlos". His initial phrase is a portmanteau of "surely" and "shears", a tool used for shaving sheep. He appears on the album cover of Neapolitan.

He has the nature hobby.

Personality

Curlos personality changes from a cranky islander in Animal Forest e+ to smug villager in New Leaf.

In Animal Forest e+

Below is a brief description of the cranky personality. For more information, click here.

Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Curlos will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty, and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature.

In New Leaf

Below is a brief description of the smug personality. For more information, click here.

Smug villagers are very polite, kind, and gentleman-like. As a smug villager, Curlos will get along easily with other villagers. Smug villagers get along well with most villagers, their personality appearing to be a mix of the other personality types. Smug villagers will stroke their egos from time to time, going on about how cool they are.

Generally, Curlos will get along with lazy, normal, snooty, and peppy villagers, and may conflict with cranky villagers.

House

In Animal Forest e+, Curlos's house has a single round cactus. His wallpaper is wood paneling, and his flooring is bamboo flooring. If he obtains a stereo, it will play K.K. Swing.

Curlos has no specific theme in his house. He owns a Simple Love Seat, a lady palm, a flat-screen TV, and a foosball table. He also has two gyroids, a Pine Table, a soccer tee and a guitar at the back of his room. His Gold Stereo plays the song K.K. Samba. Curlos' wallpaper is the Red Tile Wall, and his flooring is the Ceramic Tile.

In New Horizons, Curlos's house takes on more of a disco/Spanish theme. He still has the red sofa and a foosball table. He has a drum set and a guitar in one corner, dark wooden mosaic wall and dark brown herringbone flooring, a diner bar and a diner clock, and a retro jukebox that plays his favorite song. His foosball table is replaced by an ironwood crafting table when he is crafting.
