“I'm watching you!”
― Picture quote, Wild World
Curt (ガンテツ, Gantetsu?) is a cranky bear villager in the Animal Crossing series. To be "curt" is to be impolitely brief, hence his name. His Wild World picture quote is also very similar to Chow's picture quote, both picture quotes telling the player that they are watching them, Butch's Wild World picture quote is exactly the same. His initial catchphrase may be a reference to his athletic motif in which it emulates the stereotypical language of a sports jock.
He appears on the album cover for K.K. Dixie. He has the nature hobby.
Appearance[]
Curt is a blue-gray bear with a bandage on his forehead. He has what may look like a beard around his muzzle, giving him the look of a middle-aged person to match his cranky personality. His eyes are droopy half-circles that have pupils near his unibrow. His inside ears, muzzle, and belly are cream yellow, and his paws are white. His nose is dark blue. In New Horizons, Curt's eyes have subtle brown irises, and his feet have blue-gray paw pads. He initially wears the MVP tee.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the cranky personality. For more information, click here. |
Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Curt will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty, and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature.
House[]
In Animal Forest e+, Curt has the same house as Bitty, only that he now has a tartan rug and a manor wall, and his stereo has K.K. Jazz on it.
In Wild World and City Folk, Curt has more of a variety of furniture, like a red sofa, a ranch table, a weeping fig, and one mini bowtoid when he first moves into town. He lacks a stereo at first, but if he obtains one, it will be playing K.K. Jazz. There is a wide-screen TV in his house too. Curt also has some clothing and some headgear.
In New Leaf, his housing is designed towards an old-fashioned Japanese style, both exterior and interior being much different than the past games. He owns a kotatsu, a cream sofa, a wide-screen TV, a giant dharma, a lady palm house plant, and a tea tansu. He also has a kanji tee and a mega clankoid. K.K. Lament plays on his high-end stereo. His wallpaper is the shoji screen, and his flooring is the tatami floor.
