Cyd (パンクス,Pankusu?, Punks) is a crankyelephantvillager introduced in New Horizons, and later Pocket Camp. Cyd is an alternate spelling of Sid, as in Sid Vicious, which, along with his Japanese name Punks, references his appearance as a wearer of punk fashion. His initial phrase, "rockin'", reflects his aesthetic as well.
Cyd is a red elephant. His hands, feet, trunk, and ears fade to black ends and his nails are teal. He has an indigo mohawk and tail, his mohawk being spiky and drooping to his right. His eyes are very squinted, with a big black pupil looking to the side. Unlike most elephant villagers, his mouth is in the middle like Axel's. His face overall has a very sly expression.

Cranky villagers will usually appear in a grouchy or agitated mood. When talking to the player, cranky villagers tend to become angry if the player disagrees with them or refuses to do a favor. Like all cranky villagers, Cyd will be invested in his hobby and will often challenge the player to various competitions. He will easily get along with jock, snooty, and other cranky villagers, and occasionally lazy and normal villagers as well. However, he will find it hard to socialize with peppy villagers, as they will seem overstimulated or immature.
House[]
Cyd's house has a punk/metal theme. He has various furniture from the ironwood set in the old variation and a red drum set. K.K. Metal is playing on a red throwback skull radio. For wallpaper and flooring, he has the skull wall and skull-print flooring.
Cyd was added to Pocket Camp in the March 20, 2020 update, alongside all other villagers new to New Horizons.
Cyd's preferred theme is cool, and he primarily gives steel as a reward. His profile reads:
❝ On an average day, you can find Cyd posted up in his bedroom, rocking out to his favorite music. He loves to crank up the volume, but he's also mindful of his neighbors.❞

At level 30, he will reward the player with sparkle stones (x1).

He, along with the other New Horizons newcomers, was added to Pocket Camp in an update that was released at the same time as the release of New Horizons.
Cyd shares his birthday with Alfonso. They both have a birthday on June 9th.
While his French name is quite literally "Punk", his Japanese, Chinese, and Korean names are the plural form - "Punks".
In New Horizons, Cyd's preferred styles are Active/Cool, and his preferred colors are Black/Yellow.
