As of the Welcome Amiibo update in New Leaf, she is currently the only elephant not included in it.
Appearance
Elina is an orange elephant who wears a Red Aloha Shirt and has a purple flower in her hair. She might be a elephant version of Flossie. Her outfit makes her seem like she is layed back and enjoying the breeze, like a normal islander, almost appearing lazy. She has orange skin and brown hair and ears. She also has a red stone or circle on her forehead, known as a bindi, which is worn by many South Asian women, especially Hindus, for whom elephants are of great religious importance. Elina also appears to wear green eye shadow and heavy amounts of mascara, which goes with her snooty personality. She slightly resembles a puppet from H.R. Pufnstuf who also is gold and orange with green makeup.

Elina has a snooty personality, which means she loves makeup and gossiping. As a snooty villager, Elina will first appear rude and arrogant towards the player, often talking about herself and her own experiences. She also speaks about the style and appearance of other villagers, usually other female villagers such as normal, peppy, and other snooty villagers. She will soon warm up to the player, confiding in them about their own feelings but still keeping subtly rude. Elina will not get along with lazy villagers due to them not caring about their appearance or the lazy villagers hating what she eats, and she won't get along with jockvillagers because they will question her on her physical appearance and they won't worry about fashion. However, she will get along with cranky villagers due to their similar rude personalities, and usually normal villagers as well.
It's hard to tell if Elina is trying to be motherly, grandmotherly or just bossy and big sisterly, but there's one thing for sure -she's not afraid to tell you where you've gone wrong.
As an islander, she has a favorite fruit and a fruit that she is allergic to. Feeding her the allergy fruit will reduce the likelihood of her dropping money bags. Elina is allergic to apples and loves pears.
