Episode

The title of this article is conjectural. An official name for the article's subject has not been found.

Episodes are mini-events that happen in Wild World and City Folk to working animals in town or the City. Episodes allow the player to learn more about an animal's personal life. A character under the effects of an episode will be depressed and the player will be given an option to ask about what is wrong. Before episodes can happen, certain conditions must be met.

In Wild World

In Wild World, Blathers, Pelly, Tom Nook, Mabel, and Sable have episodes if their conditions are met, which are different for each character. Series' of episodes occur at frequent intervals throughout the year, and each episode is three days apart (except for the first and second episodes in a series which are four days apart). The player must hear the first episode to hear all subsequent episodes, but episodes can be heard at least a day late if the player does not play on the exact date scheduled for an episode. For Blathers and Pelly, the player can either ask them what is wrong or to get to work (wherein the player can use that character's services as normal). Tom Nook and Mabel will simply add the 'What's wrong?' to their list of options when the player talks to them.

Episode Requirements

• Blathers' Episodes - Speak to Brewster and Celeste at least once.
• Tom Nook's Episodes - Obtain Nookington's.
• Mabel and Sable's Episodes - Befriend Sable by speaking to her daily for two weeks.
• Pelly's Episodes - Shoot down Pete with the slingshot at least once, and then talk to him.

In City Folk

The episode only happens once for each player in City Folk, and runs for ten consecutive days.

For the episodes to occur, some requirements must be met. During the period of episodes, the player will find that different working characters are 'depressed' each day and the player can ask them what is wrong, as in Wild World.

Episode List

Day 1 - Sable and Mabel

Sable admits to the player how she and Mabel haven't been as energetic as before.

Mabel tells the player that she received a letter from someone in her past.

Day 2 - Pelly, Labelle, and Gracie

Pelly wonders to herself about who could be sending anonymous letters to Mabel.

Labelle reassures the player not to worry about her when the player asks what's wrong

Gracie tells the player how off her life has been during an episode.

Day 3 - Tom Nook

Tom Nook comments to himself about seeing 'her' and wonder if Sable and Mabel are aware of it.

Tom Nook accidentally tells the player about another Able sister.

Tom Nook tells the player to not tell the Able sisters at the tailor shop about what he saw.

Day 4 - Mabel

Mabel tells the player about a faraway relative who sends her money.

When the player tells Mabel that they know the relative is a sibling, Mabel can tell that Tom Nook told them.

Mabel confirms that she has another sister named Label.

Day 5 - Tom Nook

The player is given the option to tell Tom Nook that Mabel knows about Labelle.

Tom Nook tells the player that the sisters were close until Labelle and Sable got into a fight after their parent's death.

Tom Nook tells the player that Labelle left to the city to become a designer.

If the player questions further, Tom Nook pleads the player to not speak of it anymore.

Day 6 - Labelle and Gracie

Gracie tells the player about how Labelle became upset after losing another contest.

Labelle repeats to the player the story of her leaving home after being no longer on speaking terms with Sable after a fight.

Day 7 - Mabel

Mabel tells the player that she wishes she and Sable could reconcile with Labelle.

Day 8 - Sable

Sable no longer holds hostile feelings for Labelle, but she cannot reunite with her because she needs to run her father's store.

Sable moves on from her sadness as she tells the player that it worked out alright in the end.

Day 9 - Labelle

The player is given the option to refer to Labelle by her old name.

Labelle is surprised when the player calls her by her old name.

Labelle finds out that her sisters were understanding and no longer held hostile feelings towards her

Labelle moves on from her sadness as well as she tells the player that she hopes that she will reunite with her sisters one day.

Day 10 - Mabel

Mabel wishes that Sable and Label could be on speaking terms again.

Mabel moves on from her sadness when she tells the player that she is positive that there will be a day when they reunite.

City Folk Episodes

Episode Requirements

• Speak to Pelly at least once.
• Befriend Sable (speak to her for 12 days).
• Unlock Nookington's.
• Buy at least one item from the Able Sister's shop and GracieGrace.
• Have Gracie conduct three fashion checks (passing or failing).

In New Leaf

Episodes do not appear in New Leaf, but Lyle can be talked to in Nook's Homes for some episode-like info on frequent occasions if they player asks him what is new.
