Cherry-blossom petals are a crafting material in New Horizons that are used to craft items in the cherry blossoms series. They can also be sold for 200 Bells per petal.
Cherry-blossom petals float through the air during the cherry-blossom season, which occurs from April 1st to April 10th in the northern hemisphere, and from October 1st to October 10th in the southern hemisphere. During this time, the leaves of all non-fruit hardwood trees turn into cherry blossoms. Cherry-blossom petals are caught using a net. If the player swings at a petal and misses, touches a petal or runs by one, it will disappear shortly thereafter.
