“It's fun to dress up and look so cute on occasion!”
― Gala, New Leaf
Gala (ためこ Tameko?) is a normal pig villager in the Animal Crossing series who makes her first appearance in City Folk. Her name may refer to a type of apples, Gala Apples, or it may also refer to "Gala Pork Pie". Her catchphrase references the snorting sounds that most pigs make. She has the education hobby.
She appears on the cover of Señor K.K.
Appearance[]
Gala is a light pink pig with big, bright blue eyes with large black pupils, as well as cheeks that are a slightly darker pink than the rest of her. She also wears a crown of red, green and white flowers on her left ear. The tips of her hooves are the same color as her cheeks. Gala initially wears the daisy tee, and she carries the daisy umbrella on rainy days.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the normal personality. For more information, click here. |
Gala has a normal personality, and frequently acts kind towards the player. Normal villagers generally get along well with lazy, peppy, smug, snooty, and other normal villagers. Gala may conflict with cranky and sisterly villagers. As a normal villager, Gala will usually wake up at 6:00 am and is easier to befriend than most. Both normal and peppy villagers reference an unseen friend known as Moppina.
House[]
In City Folk, Gala's house is quite plain and simple. She has several dolls, as well as a cream sofa and a claw-foot bathtub. The inclusion of a barber pole and a candy machine in her house also gives it the feel of a quaint little candy shop. Gala has a dice stereo that plays Two Days Ago. Her wallpaper is the kitchen wall, and her flooring is the kitchen tile.
In New Leaf, her house is also quite simple. She owns two piggy banks, as well as a safe, which makes her house feel a bit like a bank. She also owns two items from the minimalist series, the lamp and the dresser, and a harmonoid. She still listens to Two Days Ago, but this time on a gold stereo. Her wallpaper is the neutral wall, and her flooring is the neutral floor.
In New Horizons, Gala fully adopts the bank theme. The front end of her house is separated into two areas: a waiting room — consisting of a cream double sofa, beige fireplace, and phonograph — and consultation office, furnished with a white den desk, white den chair, and black laptop. To the left of the den desk is gold lucky cat sitting atop a brown antique mini table. Behind the jail bars, a labelled cardboard box, document stack, two white safes, gold bars, and an aluminum briefcase containing stacks of cash are laid out on top of a red carpet. A silver wall clock and surveillance camera hang on the wall. Gala's wallpaper is the stately wall, and her flooring is the light wood-pattern flooring.
