Hippos (カバ, Kaba), or hippopotamus, are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series.

There are ten hippo villagers, of which half are male and half are female. Two are normal, two are peppy, two are cranky, one is snooty, one is lazy, one is smug, and one is a jock. There are no sisterly hippos.

Rocco was the only hippo featured in Wild World and Harry joined him as the only other hippo in City Folk, but most of the hippos returned in New Leaf.
