Hornsby (みつお,Mitsuo?) is a lazyrhinovillager from the Animal Crossing series. His name is a play on the horn on his head. His picture quote in New Leaf seems to be a reference to his e-reader card profile. Hornsby was first seen in the GCN games, and did not appear in future iterations until the Welcome amiibo update in New Leaf. He was, however, found in the data for Happy Home Designer, but unlike many other unused villagers, he has no icon and only textures for him exist in the game's code.[1]
Hornsby is a deep blue rhino with a yellow horn. In addition, the tips of his arms are the same yellow color. His ears are pink and he has a navy blue pattern on the back of his head that may be hair. Hornsby initially wears the Chevron Shirt.
Personality
He is described in the RV as a comedian who only has knock knock jokes in his act.
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Hornsby will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Hornsby will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.
House
Hornsby's house is very relaxed, most of the furniture in his house are Cabin and Exotic furniture. There are three shirts, one plant, and a Reel-to-Reel that plays Aloha K.K..
In New Horizons, Hornsby's house has a stove, wood pile, wooden table, fruit assortment, log clock, log bookshelf, clay pot, pear wardrobe, pear bed, and a mixed fruit beverage. His walling is dark wood walling and his floor is dirt flooring.
Hornsby takes great pleasure in taunting mosquitoes with his pierce-proof horn. He'll cover his entire body -except for his horn- in mosquito repelent and stand outside laughing at them.
