Ione (スピカ, Supika?, Spica) is a normal squirrel villager introduced in the New Horizons 2.0 update. She was revealed in the October 15, 2021 Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct and has the fashion hobby.

Ione's astral motif and international names are based on Greco-Roman myths that stars were named after. For example, her French name "Terra" is the Roman name for Gaia, the goddess of the Earth, while her Spanish name "Auri" comes from "aura" and perhaps Aurora, the goddess of dawn in Roman mythology.

Appearance[]

Ione is a light blue squirrel. She has blue, sleepy-looking eyes, with two white marks next to each eye and a pink, heart-shaped nose. Her hair and eyelids are very pale greenish-yellow. The insides of her ears are a light sea-green, as are the tips of her arms and legs. Her most notable feature is her tail, which, instead of having a spiral design like most other squirrel villagers, is solid blue. It also has several star-like sparkles on it. In the dark, Ione's inner ears and paws will glow. Ione wears a blue Astro dress.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the normal personality. For more information, click here.

Ione has a normal personality, and frequently acts kind towards the player. Normal villagers generally get along well with lazy, peppy, smug, snooty, and other normal villagers. Ione may conflict with cranky and sisterly villagers. As a normal villager, Ione will usually wake up at 6:00 am and is easier to befriend than most. Both normal and peppy villagers reference an unseen friend known as Moppina.
