Julia (ジュリア,Juria?, Julia) is an ostrich islander with a snooty personality in the Animal Crossing series. Her catchphrase is "dahling," which is similar to Baabara's catchphrase of "daahling." She was originally exclusive to Animal Forest e+, where she occurred as an islander. If the player was to scan her e-reader card and went to their private island, she would be found washed up on the shores of the island, similar to Gulliver. She has the education hobby.
Julia returned to the series in New Leaf, as part of the Welcome amiibo update. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campground and invited to the town.
Julia is a blue ostrich, colored to resemble a peacock. Her eyes are large, with big black pupils with two shines in each, and irises that are colored a gradient of orange to yellow-orange at the bottom. There are three eyelashes on the side of each of her eyes, and she has a yellow beak. Her head and body are blue, while her wings and the top half of her head are colored green. The back half of her wings are colored a medium gray, and the green part fades to dark gray at its end. She has white surrounding an area around her eyes, and a tail of rainbow feathers. The feathers have a gradient from inside outwards as follows: blue, red, a hint of orange, and yellow. Each tail feather is outlined with green. She also has six feathers on her head, which start as dark gray and fade to green. Her feet were originally pink and white striped, but this was changed to light and dark grey when she was reintroduced to the series. Her initial clothing is the Red Aloha Shirt in Animal Forest e+, and the Purple Tie-Dye Tee in New Leaf.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the snooty personality. For more information, click here.
Julia has a snooty personality, which means she loves make-up and gossiping. As a snooty villager, Julia will first appear rude and arrogant towards the player, often talking about herself and her own experiences. She also speaks about the style and appearance of other villagers, usually other female villagers such as normal, peppy, and other snooty villagers. She will soon warm up to the player, confiding in them about their own feelings but still keeping subtly rude. Julia will not get along with lazy villagers due to them not caring about their appearance or the lazy villagers hating what she eats, and she won't get along with jockvillagers because they will question her on her physical appearance and they won't worry about fashion. However, she will get along with cranky villagers due to their similar rude personalities, and usually normal villagers as well.
House
In New Leaf, Julia's house interior is similar to that of her RV, with an elegant restaurant theme and most of the exclusive new items she comes with. She has two Round-Cloth Tables in the upper left and right of her room with a Single Rose and Warming Buffet on them. In the center of her home is a Table with Cloth, with a Steamed Lobster placed atop it and two Reception Chairs tucked up against it, and down by the doorway are a Coat Hanger and Elegant Bench. Her wallpaper and flooring are the Rococo wall and Herringbone floor, respectively.
In New Horizons, Julia's house is split into a bedroom and a bathroom, with a spa theme to it. The right half of the room is distinguished into its own area by two Black wooden-deck rugs. Her bedroom area mostly consists of the Rattan Series in white, she has the bed, vanity, stool, low table, and end table. Her bathroom contains a Shower booth, a Long bathtub, a Rattan towel basket, and a Beach towel. She has a Bathrobe and Bathroom towel rack hanging on the wall. When she is crafting a DIY recipe, she uses an oak Ironwood DIY workbench, but this is put away when not in use.
