Keaton (フランク,Furanku?, Frank) is a smugeaglevillager that first appeared in New Leaf. His name is most likely a play on from the American actor Michael Keaton who played Birdman (2014). His initial catchphrase is a play on "wing".
Keaton is a bright blue and yellow eagle. The tips of his wings, head, and tail are aqua blue. He has a gray beak and reddish pinkish feet. He initially wears the Raglan Tee.

Smug villagers are very polite, kind, and gentleman-like. As a smug villager, Keaton will get along easily with other villagers. Smug villagers get along well with most villagers, their personality appearing to be a mix of the other personality types. As a smug villager he will stroke his ego from time to time, going on about how cool he is.
The initial design of Keaton's house in New Leaf features a beach theme, with many beach furniture items, as well as picnic and cupid's benches. Other items that help contribute to the beach theme of the house are the two beach tablets, the Surfboard, the lifesaver, the two plastic beach chairs, and the stove He uses the tropical vista wallpaper and tropical floor carpet, and the tape deck in his home plays K.K. Moody.
His house in New Horizons differs, as it instead is themed to look like a gas station or parking lot. There are multiple racecar beds in differing colors to represent cars, traffic cones about, as well as tree-lined wall wallpaper and parking lot flooring to match. While this varies greatly from his house in New Leaf, it keeps the theme of mimicking an outside setting.
His Japanese name is the same as Frank's English name.
