“Don't tell anyone! My train obsession is a secret!”
― Ken, New Leaf
Ken (クロベエ,Kurobē?) is a smugchickenvillager in New Leaf and New Horizons. His name comes from the word chicken. His name may also be based on the Japanese word for sword (Ken), because he looks like a ninja and his default shirt is the ninja shirt. "Kuro" means "black", referring to his color scheme, while "bee" is a suffix in male Japanese names. He has the education hobby.
Ken is a predominantly black chicken with vibrant dark purple accents. He has rosy pink cheeks, a pale yellow beak, and pale yellow and light gray striped legs and feet. His design is based on a ninja. Ken resembles an Ayam Cemani chicken, chickens from Indonesia who have a dominant gene that causes hyper-pigmentation, which makes the chicken almost entirely black.
