Large star fragments are a crafting material that can be found along the shore of the player's island the day after a Meteor Shower. In order for star fragments to appear, the player must make a wish. To make a wish, the player must be looking up with an empty hand and press the "A" button as a star streaks by. If successful, the star flares and a "ping" can be heard.

Large star fragments are rarer than normal star fragments, and can be sold for 2,500 Bells at Nook's Cranny.

Large star fragments are used to craft wand tools.
