Leonardo (ヒョウタ,Hyōta?) is a tigervillager with the jock personality from the Animal Crossing series. He made his first appearance in the Japanese exclusive Animal Forest e+, but was absent from both Wild World and City Folk. He later returned in New Leaf.
His name is a real one which contains the latin root "leo", meaning lion. His Japanese name is derived from hyou, the Japanese word for leopard and ta, common suffix on boy names. His initial phrase reflects to his jock personality as real jocks flex their muscles and his picture quote the love of healthy fitness food shared by jock villagers. He has the fitness hobby.
Leonardo is a yellow leopard, with half-closed black eyes and three small brown stripes on his cheeks. He also has spots that resemble the rosettes of a leopard. He also has spots on his arms and legs, and the insides of his ears are pink. Leonardo initially wears the Hawk jacket and he carries the Leopard Umbrella when it rains.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.
Leonardo has a jock personality and has a great interest in sports and bodybuilding. Jock villagers are hyperactive and motivated, but often come across as self-centered and dense. As a jock villager, Leonardo is very interested in his hobby, and may compete against the player at catching bugs and fish. Jock villagers get along with peppy, cranky, and sisterly villagers, but conflict with the laid-back lifestyle of lazy villagers. Snooty villagers may also be difficult to get along with for Leonardo.
House
In Animal Forest e+, Leonardo's house has the same furniture styling as Nate's, with the difference being the meadow vista and beach flooring. He also has Aloha K.K. playing on his stereo.
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Leonardo's house contains many different furniture pieces. He has two drums and two totem poles. He also has a Mush Table and a Cabana Bed, as well as a Retro Stereo that plays K.K. Safari. His wallpaper is the Garden Wall, and his flooring is the Cowhide Rug.
