I bet you didn't know this...but I have a driver's license. I made it myself! It was either that or fill out a bunch of papers. It woulda taken forever. And I had a pie to eat!
― Marty, New Leaf

Marty (マーティー Mātī?, Marty) is a lazy cub villager who appears in New Leaf with the Welcome amiibo update. He will live in a mobile home, but is also able to move into the player's town by inviting him in. His amiibo card is part of the Sanrio amiibo card pack.

He has the play hobby[1].

Along with other RV-exclusive villagers, Marty can't be invited to the town if their own house is still present in the town. Once they have packed boxes and left, they may be "adopted" again.

Marty returned to New Horizons, as part of the Version 1.9.0 update on March 18th, 2021. By scanning amiibo cards, this villager can be met via the campsite and invited to the island.

Appearance[]

Marty's appearance is based off of Pompompurin. He is a yellow bear with cream paws, inner ears, and cheeks. He also sports a dark brown hat and has brown bangs and eyebrows. He wears the Pompompurin tee, a yellow shirt with Pompompurin’s head, and a brown beret.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

As a lazy villager, Marty will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Marty will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.

Home[]

Like his mobile home, Marty's home contains many pieces of furniture belonging to the Pompompurin series introduced in the Welcome amiibo update.
