I noticed you archived my proposal and said it was invalid. I thought it was only required for 2 out of 3 users to give me support. I've discussed this with Emily and she said I should be fine in terms of the support I've gotten. It would mean a lot to get this promotion in any way possible since I've spent lots of my freetime editing and being active daily on top of my school work.
Hi, the last vote on your proposal is invalid because it was posted after the proposal closed. Per our proposal guidelines, votes can be made for one week after the start of the proposal. Only the first two votes are valid which equaled 50%. You need 66.67% support to pass. Thanks for your inquiry!
I was wondering how long my proposal would be active for? I need one more user to support my proposal and I was curious if you knew anyone else I could ask aside from some of the admins I've reached out to in giving me support. I've been working hard and spending lots of time the last few days and I feel like a promotion would help me gain recognition for what I've done. Thanks again!
@Devon if you need more time on your proposal I can give you another week. It looks like you are trying to gather more votes in. I'll close it tomorrow if you don't respond.
Yesterday, A user by the name of Cybersuki hosted a poll asking the ages of people here. There were two people who replied with 5-12, and to my understanding that isn't allowed here. I just wanted to notify you so you could chat with them, or take moderator action! Their names are Jjtheboss4ac and UwO601.
I hope you've been well. I noticed you updated the rights and promotion page and opposed my promotion. I was wondering if you had any feedbacks or comments as to why. I'm wanting to learn and grow from not only my edits but from top contributers. Therefore, I'm curious to know about your opinion whether you agree or not. Thanks again for taking the time to read my proposal.
Hi, thanks for reaching out! Rights are not a "badge of approval" that people earn in a hierarchical manner; rather, they are additional tools granted to users who have time, energy, and patience to practice such a role. There was nothing glaring about your proposal that made me think you would be a bad candidate for a promotion. I just don't see the need to promote a user at this time. Other users will disagree with me, and that's why we have an open voting policy - this way, you can receive feedback, opinions, and votes from more than one person with one mindset. I look forward to seeing how your proposal goes. Good luck!
I understand, I can respectfully agree with your decision. Out of curiosity when would be the proper time to apply or is it purely based on the user and admin opinion? Also, would two admins have to support my proposal in order for it to be granted? I was a bit unsure and confused as to how the process works.
A user is a user. Admins are not special when it comes to voting on proposals. You do not have to receive support from an admin. All votes on your proposal will be summed at the conclusion of one week.
