Mice (ネズミ, Nezumi) are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. They have fairly pointy heads and large, round ears, and they all have long but skinny tails.

There are twenty mice of which twelve are female and eight are male. Six are peppy, two are normal, four are snooty, two are lazy, one is smug, two are cranky, and three are jock. There are no sisterly mice.

Many of their names or catchphrases relate to cheese, a stereotypically favorite food of mice.

Dora, Samson, and Limberg are the only mice to appear in every game to date.
