Soccer, man... How could anyone not know I'm famous for bowling? Nightshade?
― Muffy, New Leaf

Muffy (フリル, Furiru?, Frill) is a sisterly sheep villager in the Animal Crossing series. Her name may be derived from earmuffs, which are often made of wool, and also due to wearing a headband that makes her horns look similar to earmuffs. Her English initial phrase and picture quote are references to her own wool color. Her Japanese initial phrase, おつかれ (otsukare?), comes from おつかれさまでした (otsukaresamadeshita?). Both phrases mean "good job", although the latter is more formal.

She has the music hobby.

Appearance[]

Muffy is a black sheep with purple striped horns. She has wide, bright cyan eyes with large black pupils and noticeable eyelashes. She appears to be wearing pink blush and black lipstick. She initially wears the Natty Shirt as a scarf, as sheep wear their clothes as scarves, and carries a Zebra Umbrella when it rains. In New Horizons she initially wears a purple Ruffled dress.

Her look may be inspired by the gothic lolita fashion subculture. The rectangle headdress she wears is iconic to earlier eras of the fashion.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the sisterly personality. For more information, click here.

Muffy is a sisterly villager. When befriended, she will give the player fighting tips and teach them ways to relax. Muffy will also give the player medicine if they are stung by a wasp. Like all sisterly villagers, Muffy is tough, but she will still care deeply about her appearance. Muffy has a tendency to stay up very late at night. It is easy to get her picture since developing friendships with sisterly villagers is simple due to her caring and protective nature, sometimes talking to the player about her friendship with her old neighbor's son. Muffy may get along with jock villagers who share her love of sports, lazy and normal villagers for how laid-back they are, and peppy villagers. However, she may conflict with smug and snooty villagers due to their arrogant nature. Muffy may clash with cranky villagers due to their similarly stubborn personalities, but often end up becoming best friends.

House[]

In New Leaf, Muffy's house is very elegant, as it contains almost everything from the Rococo Series. Along with her Rococo furniture, she also has a fancy doll, a Pink Velvet Stool, and a Phonograph playing K.K. Sonata. Despite having no Sleek furniture in her house, she has the Sleek Carpet and the Sleek Wall. Her house appears to be Georgian-inspired.

In New Horizons, Muffy's house has a more gothic tone, many of her furniture pieces being black or near purple. She has a black antique bed with blue floral swag hanging above, and purple lace-up dress and purple shiny-bow platform shoes set to the right of the bed. Muffy has a little workstation set up in the northeast corner of her house, which consists of a black iron worktable and closet, black sewing machine, black old sewing machine, and pink lily record player. She also has a walnut ironwood DIY workbench to the left of the house entrance, as well as a dark wood wooden stool and spinning wheel. There are a triangle-patterned ironing board and black rattan towel basket in the southeast corner of the house. Her wallpaper is the black Botanical-tile Wall, and her flooring is the Purple Desert-tile Flooring. There is an iron entrance mat placed at the entrance.
