Nintendo Network (ニンテンドーネットワーク, Nintendō Nettowāku) is Nintendo's current online service for the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. It serves as a replacement for the older Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection which operated on the Nintendo DS and the Wii. As well as providing online functionality for games, Nintendo Network also allows users to have a friends list of up to 100 friends, using a Nintendo Network ID (NNID) on the Wii U or their Friend Code on the Nintendo 3DS; connect to the Nintendo eShop; and connect to Miiverse. The Nintendo Network also allows for the distribution of demos, downloadable content, and game updates and patches to fix bugs.

On October 2023, Nintendo made an announcement that they will discontinue online services to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U on early April 2024. This affects services for New Leaf (including Welcome amiibo) and Happy Home Designer, as well as some relevant spinoff games.
