Animal Crossing Wiki

The robust statue (たくましいちょうこく, takumashiichoukoku?, robust sculpture) is a new sculpture obtainable in New Leaf and can only be purchased from Crazy Redd's and can be collected by Happy Home Handbook in Happy Home Designer. In New Horizons, the sculpture can be donated to the museum and be added to the art gallery. As this sculpture can be bought from Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler, be careful of a forgery as it is not always genuine.

Though the original statue was made out of bronze and was lost, there have been many copies made by the Romans. These copies are made of bronze, as well as marble. It was finished between 460-450 BCE in Greece and there is great symmetry throughout the body as well as a lack of emotion in the man's face. A common theory is that Myron's desire for perfection had made him suppress too rigorously the sense of strain in the individual muscles.
