“Sooo.. Anyway.. What can I do for you, chaps?”
― Rodeo, Wild World
Rodeo (ロデオ, Rodeo?) is a lazy bull villager who made his first appearance in Wild World. His name comes from the sport, which is an event usually taking place in America where a rider aims to stay on a bull the longest while it is jumping, kicking, and running. His initial phrase, "chaps", relates to an item of clothing, typically worn over jeans and made out of leather. His New Leaf quote is a reference to how lazy villagers love sleeping. He has the fitness hobby.
Appearance

Rodeo in Wild World
Rodeo is a dark gray bull with pale gray hair, dull, dusky gold horns, and small, round red eyes. He has a blue-gray muzzle and his tail is a lighter gray than the rest of his body. In past games, Rodeo's initial shirt is the Beatnik Shirt which changes to the Graduation Gown in New Horizons.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here. |
As a lazy villager, Rodeo will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Rodeo will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.
House
In games prior to New Leaf, Rodeo has two gyroids in his house and K.K. Gumbo plays on his Gold Stereo. Mostly his house carries a blue theme, with several items including the Blue Bed and the Blue Table. Rodeo also has a Men's toilet. Rodeo's wall is the Groovy Wall and the flooring being the Ceramic Tile.
In New Leaf, his house mostly contains furniture from the Modern Series, with several items including the: Modern Bed, Modern Table, Modern Sofa, Modern End Table, and Modern Shelf. Rodeo's wallpaper is the Concrete Wall and his flooring is the Steel Flooring. His Gold Stereo plays Stale Cupcakes.
In New Horizons, Rodeo has furniture from the Wooden Series, including the wooden bookshelf and wooden chest, and the Den Set's desk and chair. He also has a desktop computer, plasma ball, telescope, and a high-end stereo which plays K.K. Technopop. He uses the concrete wall for wallpaper and the monochromatic tile flooring for flooring.

Rodeo's preferred theme is civic, and he primarily gives preserves as a reward. His profile reads:
- ❝ Rodeo probably has more in common with a sunbathing sea lion than a raging bull. His super-chill demeanor catches a lot of people off guard.❞
