Rodney (ジミー, Jimī^?, Jimmy) is a smug hamster villager in New Leaf. His name is a pun on the word "rodent." His catchphrase references his species. He has the music hobby.

Appearance

Rodney is a teal hamster with a big tan spot on the bottom of his face. He has a reddish-pink nose, a line of light brown freckles, and a patch of reddish-pink hair. His eyes are brown and they hold a lazy expression. Rodney initially wears the Red-Bar Tee. In New Horizons, he wears a Striped Tank.

Smug villagers are very polite, kind, and gentleman-like. As a smug villager, Rodney will get along easily with other villagers. Smug villagers get along well with most villagers, their personality appearing to be a mix of the other personality types. Smug villagers will stroke their egos from time to time, going on about how cool they are.

Generally, Rodney will get along with lazy, normal, snooty, and peppy villagers, and may conflict with cranky villagers.

House

Rodney's house bears resemblance to an arcade. He owns an arcade machine, a tabletop game, a candy machine, and a pinball machine, which all contribute to the arcade theme. He also has a Common Bed, a Kiddie Table, and a Simple Love Seat. His Sloppy Stereo plays the song K.K. Rockabilly. Rodney's wallpaper is the Pastel Dot Wall, and his flooring is the Music Room Floor.

In New Horizons, Rodney's house resembles an old-fashioned candy shop, with a candy machine, a jukebox, and a pool table.
