“It's kind of a stereotype, but I really do like bananas!”
― Picture quote, Wild World
Simon (エテキチ,Etekichi?) is a lazymonkeyvillager from the Animal Crossing series. His name comes from the word "simian" which refers to the class of higher apes and humans. His name may also be a reference to the game "Simon Says", a game that relies on the concept "monkey see, monkey do."
He is featured on the cover of K.K. Ska and he has the play hobby.
Simon is a brown monkey with a white muzzle and red around his eyes. He has a long brown tail. He somewhat resembles the blue and red-eared monkey species. He initially wears the Red-Bar Tee, which was changed to the Striped Tank in New Horizons.
Personality
Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.
As a lazy villager, Simon will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Simon will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.
House
In New Leaf, Simon has a fan palm, bonfire, cabin bookcase, conga drum, and two tiki torches in his house. He has the Saharah's desert flooring and the Lunar horizon as his wallpaper. If he obtains a stereo, Forest Life will play on it.
In New Horizons, Simon's house is almost identical, retaining the same theme of an open stargazing area. He still has a Bonfire, Tiki torch, Hammock, and he keeps his Starry-sky wall (previously named the Lunar horizon) and Saharah's desert flooring. New to his house are the Smoker and Campfire cookware in the corner, as well as a Simple DIY workbench. He also now has a red Cassette player by his Hammock.
