- Depends really. On the furniture sets, series and themes pages, Redd only items are listed. But it could be a good idea to list these items anyway. Will have to see what other people thinking :) MerrytonRyan 20:07, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
redd's "amazing machine"[]

Mafia?[]
So this might sound farfetched, but I was wondering if Redd is supposed to be a parody of a Mafia 'associate' (lowest form of street pusher?) You see, the Mafia are reffered to as a 'crime family' and Redd refers to you as his cousin. When you pay for membership, perhaps the contract you sign is an agreement not to tell the police about Redd (hence you can't tell Blathers you got the forged paintings from Redd, Tom Nook about the furniture you sell him, etc). Also, his only contact appears to be Lyle, who wears that sharp suit all the time, in mafioso style. Also, Italians pride themselves on their history of renowned artists, and Redd is able to produce extremely accurate copies of these paintings. Thoughts? New Leaf Artwork/Sculptures[]
The article currently states that all items can be forgeries, but it's been my experience - and that of others who have written for GameFAQs - that at least one of the items he sells will be authentic.
