Everybody knows that when you get bit by a tary, you appear outside your house. Proof needed? It's probably happened to you. Dragonfree97 19:02, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

I've never time travelled and can't remember what happened in Wild World :P It was either inside or out, or you appear where you were bitten. So is outside the house the answer? MerrytonRyan 19:18, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

When you get bitten, you sort of sway, there are stars around your head, and you fall accompanied by what i can only describe as 'game over' music! Yes, you end up outside your house, and then stand up like Gulliver does when you wake him up. Dab
There are, obviously, many species of scorpion...However, I think the scorpion in WW most completely resembles the Euscorpius flavicaudis...Does anyone else want to rebut or agree with this? The size appears right, but unfortunately, the colours are wrong- the Animal Crossing scorpion is brown. Thanks for your suggestion, though- it's closer than any of us have come to naming it! BadMeep 08:03, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
I've seen some pictures depicting it as being black, others as being brown. I suspect that it's just the lighting. [[Image:Rune berserker shield 100.png|25px]]Vhosythe42 talk[[Image:Skull sceptre.gif]] 17:40, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
I suspect that unless the people designing this game are scientific geeks like myself, there was not a lot of fretting about modelling around a specific species (as said above there is thousands of species; unlike, say, the Birdwing where each species has diagnostic markings) instead just the generic "scorpion". As a result I doubt there is any suitable scientific name for the AC representation. Taliseth 20:20, October 1, 2011 (UTC)
I wouldn't even feel safe calling it a japanese species, especially since the games took a less japanese curve after Wild World (see Agrias, Birdwing, Rajah Brook, "Emperor" (the misplaced Purple Butterfly which is now designed on the Brazillian Morpho), Giant Petaltail, Dorado etc.; these are all foreign to Japan; all of the insects and fish in the Gamecube version are 100% japanese). But, like I said before, it probably wasn't even modelled on a specific species. Taliseth 20:24, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

" If the player has the net equipped when walking in the museum (although it won't be visible), sometimes the scorpion will lunge out of its area and chase the player."

Does this still happen in City Folk and New Leaf? 70.138.56.13 06:21, June 20, 2013 (UTC) anonymous

Did that ever happen? I'm sorry, my memory is a little foggy because until New Leaf, I hadn't played AC in a very long time. Fang³ (talk) 07:31, June 20, 2013 (UTC)

Two Player[]

If there are two players can both catch it?http://i52.tinypic.com/67jybr.jpgBreather (talk) 02:07, July 12, 2013 (UTC)

It does not appear if there are two or more players in the town, like bees. Taliseth ♈....(sing)✦✦✦✧✧Dolphin signa 10:43, July 11, 2013 (UTC)

But there is a photo showing two players.Breather (talk) 02:07, July 12, 2013 (UTC)

Scorpions in New Horizons[]

So far I haven't seen anybody here talking about scorpions in new horizons, but I can confirm that they exist because I found one. I just cannot confirm any further info about it in the game because I got stung by it.

For the past few nights, I've seen scorpions, but they didn't attack me unless I have my net equiped. Yellowlightning1996 16:49, July 24, 2020 (UTC)
