Names as Parody?[]

Where does Nintendo ever claim that Nook's Cranny is based on Nooks and Crannies in Redmond? Not to mention the other suggestions in that last section. While it's nice to think that Nook'n'go is based off of, say, 7-11 (especially since Nook'n'go's hours change from 8-10 to 7-11 in that iteration), you can't really make that claim without evidence to back it up. I also cannot find any reference to a Brookington's in Redmond or anywhere else for that matter. And Nookway/Safeway? srsly? Lingnik 22:53, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

I agree with you there Lingnik, most of the trivia pages on the Animal Crossing wiki don't really reference to anything and are only really there to fill up space. Perhaps we could put this to the vote... Personally, the section you're talking about should be deleted. They're just shop names, not all shops must be referenced to a real life shop nor need to be. I agree that this trivia should be deleted. Simple as that. Dab 15:44, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

I think it's fine to type down that info, but it should say "may relate to" or "has a name related to". Though, this information is highly unnecessary. I don't think Nintendo would be that ridiculous when it comes to names. Besides, I'm partial Japanese so I know several convenience and supermart stores. Names like that are quite catchy, so let's keep it there. For example, one of my classmates wants to collect the posters that say Book Fair around the school and replace the title (for himself) to Nook Fair. With ease, you can clearly see that these are coincidences. SmartOneKg 14:43,11 April 2009
And why would Nintendo parody a British supermarket? Dab 15:04, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Why would Nintendo parody an American supermarket? What's 'Brookington's' or whatever it is? Dragonfree97 15:05, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
An antiques shop??? They're deluded. I'll get rid of that now. Dab 15:08, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

wanting to have someone visit[]

New name...?[]

Maybe "Tom Nook's Shop" would be a more fitting name for this page? That's how everyone refers to it in the game... or maybe it's "store" in the PAL version? Idk. But this is just a suggestion. Embeecherry 03:15, October 21, 2011 (UTC)Embeecherry

Groups????[]

Can we get some idea of what the groups are exactly, becuase there is nothing saying what the groups are and it may confuse others, (it confused me), now this is not the first place I have heard there are groups, BUT we need some clarification. Middleton83 13:21, May 8, 2012 (UTC)
