Tomatoes are an crop in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the Version 2.0. update. They are used for cooking.

Used in the 2.0 update featuring cooking, they can be obtained by talking to Leif on either your home island or when the player unlocks his co-op on Harv's Island. They can be sold to Nook's Cranny for 350 Bells each, and have no variations.
Current uses in recipes in New Horizons are: tomato curry, veggie sandwich, minestrone soup, veggie basket, poke, veggie crepe, pesce all'acqua pazza, tomato bagel sandwich, salad, savory bread, pizza margherita, salad-stuffed tomato, tomates al ajillo, pickled veggies, tomato puree, turnip salad, veggie cupcakes, tomato juice, and veggie cookies.
