Velma (ピティエ,Pithie?) is a snootygoatvillager from the Animal Crossing series . Her English name, as well as her appearance, is shared with the Scooby-Doo cartoon character, Velma Dace Dinkley. Her catchphrase comes from the sound goats make.
Velma is a pink goat. She wears glasses and has dark pink freckles, and she has yellow horns. Her initial clothing is the Cool Shirt, which is a design by Gracie. It seems as if her appearance is based on Velma from Scooby-Doo, due to her freckles, glasses, and hair.

Velma is a snooty villager. She will appear uptown, classy and chic. With this, she will appear rude and snobbish when talking to the player or other villagers, usually criticizing their dress sense or fashion. She will get along with cranky, normal, smug, and other snooty villagers. She may not get along with uchi or peppy villagers. Jock villagers will question her fitness weight and age. She also may have trouble befriending lazy villagers because they don't care about their appearance and are picky about their food, while Velma is not. She will eventually warm up to you like most snooty villagers do, but will still remain subtly rude.
In New Leaf, Velma has many pieces of the Classic Series. This includes the couch, the bookcase, the table, and the buffet. She also has a Pink Velvet Stool, and a grand piano. She displays Red Tulips on top of her Classic Buffet. Her Retro Stereo plays K.K. Etude.
Velma thinks she knows what's best for everybody, and she's not afraid to voice her opinions, no matter how inappropiate they may be. Of course, if you voice your opinion about her glasses, she gets mad.
