“I'm so lucky to have this wool coat!”
― Picture quote, Wild World
“My clothes will soak up the sun until they're warm and fluffy. So luxurious!”
― Vesta, New Leaf
Vesta (メリヤス,Meriyasu?, Malhas) is a normalsheep in Animal Crossing series that appears in all versions of the Animal Crossing video games. Her name comes from the piece of clothing vest, an item of clothing sometimes made out of the wool of sheep, her species, and possibly the Roman goddess of the hearth, Vesta, though this may be a coincidence. Her Japanese name, meriyasu, means "knitting". Her initial phrase, baaaffo is from the word baa, a word used to imitate the bleating of sheep. She has the fashion hobby.
Vesta is a sheep with cream colored wool and a dark navy blue face with glowing white eyes and a smiling mouth. Her horns are striped with orange and yellow, and she wears a scarf instead of a shirt, just like all other sheep in the Animal Crossing series before New Horizons. She wears the Hand-Knit Tank in New Horizons.
Below is a brief description of the normal personality. For more information, click here.
Vesta has a normal personality, and frequently acts kind towards the player. Normal villagers generally get along well with lazy, peppy, smug, snooty and other normal villagers. Vesta may conflict with cranky and sisterly villagers. As a normal villager, Vesta will usually wake up at 6:00 am and is easier to befriend than most. Both normal and peppy villagers reference an unseen friend known as Moppina.
Vesta has a little house with a sewing machine and a few clothes set on the left side of her house. She has a Turntable that plays K.K. Steppe. Her carpet is Backyard Lawn Flooring, and her wallpaper is Ranch Wallpaper.
In New Horizons, her house is actually a laundromat.
This little lamb is one serious clotheshorse. Vesta loves to create signature clothing to accent her natural good looks. When she's not at the Able Sisters, you'll find her in the village sporting her latest foray into fashion.
