Ahh...don't you just love shopping, <player>? Even if you don't buy anything, it's fun to look!
― Violet, New Leaf

Violet (ウズメ, Uzume?) is a snooty gorilla villager in the Animal Crossing series. Her name comes from her fur color. Her old catchphrase, faboom, could be a combination of the words fabulous, referencing her snooty personality, and baboon, which is another word for gorillas. She shares her new catchphrase, sweetie, with another villager, Candi. She originally appeared in Animal Forest e+ as a peppy islander. She was absent in other games until her return in City Folk.

Appearance

Violet, like her name, is a violet gorilla with a pink-colored muzzle and paws, red lipstick, and has blue bracelets on her head, arms, and feet. She has two small eyes with one eye lash and a unibrow with two lines sticking out. In City Folk, Violet initially wears a Misty Shirt. She wears a Red Islander Shirt in Animal Forest e+. She also appears similar to Jane's appearance in Animal Crossing.

Personality

Violet's personality changes from a peppy islander in Animal Forest e+ to an snooty villager in City Folk.

In Animal Forest e+

Below is a brief description of the peppy personality. For more information, click here.

Peppy villagers appear to be in a good mood often and are easy to become friends with. As a peppy villager, Violet (villager) will have the tendency to over-react in conversations about trivial subjects, and will usually be over-excited to see the player or other villagers. This villager, like other peppy villagers, will rarely be discouraged from doing anything, including the usual hobbies. Peppy villagers dream of becoming famous in the future and read Ms. Nintendique, an unseen magazine read by snooty, normal, and other peppy villagers in the Animal Crossing series. Peppy villagers will also have a very short attention span, which means they soon forget some arguments or tasks given to the player which weren't completed. Violet (villager) may easily get upset in conversation when the wrong things are said. She will get along well with other villagers, particularly lazy, normal, jock, sisterly, and other peppy villagers, but she may annoy and upset cranky and snooty villagers, whose personalities differ to hers. Due to the nature of peppy villagers, she may mention how "old" or "boring" cranky villagers are compared to her opposing, upbeat personality.

In City Folk

Below is a brief description of the snooty personality. For more information, click here.

Violet (villager) has a snooty personality, which means she loves makeup and gossiping. As a snooty villager, Violet (villager) will first appear rude and arrogant towards the player, often talking about herself and her own experiences. She also speaks about the style and appearance of other villagers, usually other female villagers such as normal, peppy, and other snooty villagers. She will soon warm up to the player, confiding in them about their own feelings but still keeping subtly rude. Violet (villager) will not get along with lazy villagers due to them not caring about their appearance or the lazy villagers hating what she eats, and she won't get along with jock villagers because they will question her on her physical appearance and they won't worry about fashion. However, she will get along with cranky villagers due to their similar rude personalities, and usually normal villagers as well.

House

In Animal Forest e+, Violet has the same piece of furniture as Elina, a red sofa. The red sofa is the only piece of furniture in her house.

Violet house

Violet's house in Animal Forest e+.

In City Folk, Violet's house is very old fashioned, Violet's main choice of furniture in her house is the Classic Series, including a Classic Bed and an Classic Bookcase as well as two Mega Dingloids with a Dice Stereo that plays K.K. Faire. The wallpaper is the Lattice Wall and the flooring is the Opulent Rug.

In New Leaf, Violet's house is very opulent with an exotic touch. She owns many items from the exotic series, which includes the bed, two end tables, the chest, the lamp and the wallpaper. In front of each window a cabana screen blocks the sunlight. Above her retro stereo playing K.K. Faire is a wall flowerpot. As the player enters her house, the will be greeted by a tall dingloid. In the back corners of Violet’s house are two pachira’s.
